I am hoping, wishing, praying
That while fading, I will become
The sunlight that sneaks in through your window
Running through the sky
Racing, moving forward
Until it finally hits you where you stand
--Release.

Sneaking through your window,
I will sink into your pores,
Cover every inch of skin
That I can get a hold of.

Bathe in me,
Hold onto me,
Revel in my warmth--
For I am not forever,
I am slowly fading, fading
Sinking past the edge of earth
Falling into the horizon
Melting into the water
As it drowns me in itself.

I am not forever,
I will watch you through your window,
Become a part of you
And then--
Fade.
